CHIHUAHUA FESTIVAL: They’re cute, they’re huggable and they’re ready for a barking good time during the 13th annual Pacific Northwest and Lower B.C. Chihuahua Festival, set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Mount Vernon Christian School, 820 W. Blackburn St., Mount Vernon. Bring your little “chi-chi” in for contests, food, auction, raffles and some pet “furtography” and more. Proceeds benefit rescued chihuahuas. $5, free for ages 11 and younger.
