An eclectic group of 'tweenagers', played by adults, vie for the spelling championship of a a lifetime in this delightful comedic musical. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives they spell their way through a series of words hoping never to hear the soul-crushing 'ding' of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves. ACT veterans Julie Johnson Lindsey ( artistic director) and Marilyn Pinquoch ( musical director) bring this delightful musical to the ACT main stage.
