The world of Charles Dickens is given a fresh voice in this new major musical featuring ACT mainstage and ClassACT veterans. Young orphan Oliver Twist is sold to an undertaker after asking for more food at the orphanage. Escaping to London he is taken in by Fagin to join his gang of young pickpockets. Wrongly accused of theft, Oliver meets a kindly gentlemen who takes him in, to the consternation of Bill Sykes , one of Fagin's old pupils. LIve musical theatre at ACT- as good as it gets. This presentation will be the directorial debut of Duncan Ring with musical direction by Katie Jennings.
