Name: Blast from the Past
Date: June 6, 2014 - June 8, 2014
Event Description:

The 2014 edition of Blast From The Past will be held June 6-8 and the event chairman Justin Ward of Pat Rimmer Les Schwab Tires says this will be one of the greatest in the history of Blast events. The annual event will begin on June 6th with a downtown business sidewalk sale and dress-up contest from 9-5. The Woolley Fibers Quilt Show is Friday and Saturday from 10:00-6:00  and the ever popular Quilt Awards given Saturday afternoon. Metcalf Street will be lined with over 70 vendors and food booths that will give you  plenty of opportunity to find that unique item for Fathers Day or other gift giving times this year. The year round downtown merchants are holding sales and are open for you to enjoy the unique and friendly Sedro-Woolley shopping experience as well. Friday night wraps up with Gallery Night sponsored by the Arts Council of Sedro-Woolley.

Saturday promises more shopping and vendors with live music by the Mac Daddy Band from Noon until 4:00 and a live remote with KAPS Radio on AM660 and 102.1FM from 10:00-1:00. Saturday afternoon will be a BLAST for young and old with the Blast from the Past games. The best in Skagit County will be crowned in a variety of events including Hula Hoop, Jump Rope, and Whipped Cream Eating for the kids. Adults will compete in Pizza Eating, Hula Hoop, and Jump Rope. Last years jump rope champion Mike Yeoman suffered a recent knee injury which may open the door for perennial runner-up David Bricka to capture the elusive title. Be there to watch the drama!

The car show on Sunday at Riverfront Park is always a community favorite and runs from 8:00 until 3:00. As always Blast from the Past has something for every member of the family and like all great family events there is no charge for this event.
