Junior Achievement’s mission is supporting financial literacy and work-readiness skills for our local youth. We do this through extensive in-classroom programs staffed entirely by community volunteers. This is an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow JA supporters as well as raise some funds for programs for Skagit and Island Counties.
This year’s first annual event is coming on October 10th, 2012 and will feature Keynote Speaker, Tim Bomke. Tim will inspire you with his story of going from fighting for his life and losing a leg in Iraq to becoming a teacher and then Director of the Troops to Teachers program. You will also hear from student speakers about how Junior Achievement has affected their life.
Please confirm if you plan to attend! If you can’t make the breakfast, but you or your company would like to donate, please let me know. Every little bit helps! We are looking for company matches too!
