The 16th annual “Chowder by the Channel” fund raiser will be held on November 4, 2017 from 3-6pm at the Middle School Gym,
Other exhibits and activities will accompany the event to support the “La Conner After School Program.”
At the Chowder by the Channel, the Kiwanis organize 12-15 local restaurants to present their signature Chowders for sampling, and YOUR vote for the Best Chowder of Skagit Valley.
Each individual who wishes to sample local Chowder and vote for the Best Chowder gets a ticket for an $8 donation. The ticket entitles them to sample as many restaurants as they wish. Then deposit their ticket in the voting box at their favorite restaurant table, which will indicate their choice for Best Chowder. The restaurant will then give them a bowl of the Chowder to eat there or take home for another time. Bread, dessert, and a drink are also included.
Laughter and visiting with friends during the event are free, and we invite all to be generous with both.
