The City of Burlington is unveiling its first history exhibit featuring: "Homesteading Burlington: The Garl Family Pioneers" on Saturday, May 6 from 1:00-2:30pm, Burlington Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, 520 E. Fairhaven Avenue, Burlington. Living history storyteller, Margie Wilson, will portray Clara Garl-Morrison, Burlington first school teacher. The story of the Garl family's many civic contributions to the establishment of early Burlington will be told from Clara's perspective.
