The Mount Vernon Downtown Association (MVDA) is delighted to welcome the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum to the First Saturday Art Walk on July 7, from 2-5 PM. The museum, located in La Conner, will present a selection of quilts from their permanent collection at the Front Gallery, 420 Myrtle. Other featured artists include: Jessica Salazar at Skagit Valley Food Co-op, Mezzanine level; Brynn Rydell, Embellish; Rakan Alduaij, Valley Shine Distillery; Margaret Horak, Ristretto Coffee Lounge & Wine Bar; Cara Tomlinson, Perry and Carlson Gallery; guest artist, Empire Ale House; Karen Neugebauer, Forté Chocolates; Sherri Greenleaf and Karin Silvernale, Lincoln Theatre Art Bar; Paul Blum, Skagit Running Company; Bill Koger, PAVÉ Jewelry & Design; and Debbie Speed, ByWater Consultation. The remaining Art Walks for the 2018 season are August 4 and September 1. The Community Hang-Up at the Front Gallery will debut on August 2, 5-8 pm, with Best of Show voting continuing during the August 4 Art Walk.
