Friends of Skagit Beaches Films with Friends Series

For the third night in the 2016 Films with Friends series, Friends of Skagit Beaches is offering a double-feature of two inspiring films. “A Simple Question-The Story of Straw” looks at an innovative program that brings together students of all ages, their teachers, community groups and local land-owners to undertake habitat restoration and preserve endangered species. “Natures’ Orchestra: Sounds of Our Changing Planet” follows a soundscape expedition in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to record habitats that have not yet been disturbed or destroyed by human activities. Friday, Oct. 28, doors open 6:30 p.m. for popcorn & drinks. The film begins at 7 p.m. (1 ½ hrs.). Fourth and Final Film: Nov. 11 “Sonic Sea”.
