Fun and Frightful Halloween Events Offered at Lincoln Theatre
Festivities Planned for All Ages
MOUNT VERNON, WA) – Lincoln Theatre will host the iconic film “The Rocky Horror
Picture Show” on Saturday, October 29 and a Halloween Costume Contest on October 31.
Both events take place in downtown Mount Vernon at 712 1st Street.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a parody of B-grade movies, science fiction and old horror
films, is at 10:00pm with a 9:30pm pre-show. It tells the tale of two young lovers, a few lost monsters,
and a sweet transvestite from “transsexual Transylvania.”
Add to this some singing, dancing, a freaky science lab, a far-out galaxy, and gallows humor;
this cult classic has been an audience favorite since its release in 1975. It is the longest-running movie
in film history.
To add to the reverie, Rocky Horror prop bags full of goodies will be available for $5.00.
Lincoln Theatre’s Art Bar will open at 9:00pm, with Bellingham’s popular drag q queen Betty
Desire performing at 9:30pm.
The movie is rated R, and is not recommended for children under 16.
Tickets are $10/general and $8 for Lincoln Theatre members or groups of ten or more. They can
As part of downtown Mount Vernon’s annual trick or treating from 3:00 – 5:00pm on October 31,
the Lincoln will host a free costume contest at 4:00pm. Open to all ages, the event promises to be
spooky, fun, and full of prizes.
