Hosted this year at La Terrazza, a fabulous new Italian restaurant in La Conner with authentic cuisine prepared by chef Carlo Ochetti, an Italian native with 20 years of experience working in hotels and restaurants in Europe and on Princess Cruises. After settling in the United States, his work experience brought him to California and then Seattle. Once in Seattle, he met the well-known restaurateur Luciano Bardinelli. After more than five years with him, Ochetti worked with the Il Fornaio chain of Italian restaurants in San Jose and San Francisco, California for more than five years. After that, he came to La Conner because it reminded him of his home town of Lago Maggiore Verbani Intra (just west of Lake Como). Access to locally grown and organic produce is a main focus for Chef Ochetti and we're thrilled to see his cuisine (not to mention house-made pasta!) paired up with Gordy's wines, which are also Italian-inspired
