Event Description:
The Anacortes Independence Day celebrations will begin 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, with a patriotic event at the Depot Arts & Community Center, 611 R Ave., to honor those who have served our country. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket. The evening will have a short patriotic commemoration followed by games and entertainment. Local service clubs will sell food items.

On Monday, July 4, festivities continue with the town picture 10 a.m. at Fifth Street and Commercial Avenue, followed by the parade a 11 a.m. In commemoration of Anacortes’ 125th birthday, parade participants are encouraged to enter decorated floats as in parades of year’s past. There will not be a formal event at Causland Memorial Park following the parade. The parade route will be adjusted to end at the Depot.

Fun family events will continue at the Port of Anacortes’ Rock the Dock event 3:30-10 p.m. at Seafarers’ Memorial Park following the parade. The event includes food, a beer garden and children’s activities. Entertainment by Cherry Cherry, Jessica Lynne and Creme Tangerine.

The evening will be complete with a fireworks display at dusk.
