The Melodic Caring Project (MCP) is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit which was founded in Conway Washington in 2011 by husband and wife Levi and Stephanie Ware.
The project was conceived when musician Levi Ware played a benefit show at the Lincoln Theatre for a young Burlington girl battling Leukemia at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Due to her illness she was in quarantine and unable to attend the concert so Levi streamed the show to her in her hospital room and the non-profit was conceived.
Since that concert Levi and Stephanie have streamed nearly one hundred artists to over one hundred kids (including Brandi Carlile, Tyrone Wells and Richard On of OAR). In 2012 the Melodic Caring Project partnered with the global non-profit Starlight Children’s Foundation to offer MCP’s live music programming to hospitalized kids across the U.S. and abroad. MCP also partnered with the Seattle Theatre Group to stream live performance and music from 3 of Seattle’s premier theatres (Paramount, Moore and Neptune). The Melodic Caring Project has been featured on NBC's Digital Life on Today, CNN Newsmakers, King 5 New Day Northwest (NBC affiliate), Success Magazine and numerous print and online publications.
