Mount Vernon Downtown First Thursday Art Walk April 2, 2015, 5 ? 8 pm The Mount Vernon Downtown Association is pleased to present the next First Thursday Art Walk on April 2, 2015, 5 - 8 pm, as part of the Skagit Valley Art Escape. On the first weekend of each month from April-October, the Skagit Valley Art Escape invites out-of-area visitors to spend the weekend experiencing art activities in the Skagit Valley communities of Anacortes, Edison, La Conner, and Mount Vernon. Visitors and locals alike will be delighted with gallery art walks, music performances, and artist demonstrations encompassing a broad range of media. Enjoy original art by local and regional artists, wine, chocolates, dinner and more at 16 locations in Mount Vernon downtown. Poster artist for the April 2, Art Walk is Dee Doyle, representing the Skagit Artists together Art Bash at the Front Gallery, 420 Myrtle. Skagit Artists Together (SAT) is a growing group of dedicated and diverse artists who work in a variety of mediums. SAT was founded in 2003, and has grown steadily to become a significant resource for visual artists and the arts in our community. SAT offers a regular stream of "Calls to Artists," so artists and the community are aware of upcoming shows, show opportunities, and art news. Skagit Artists Together members will host the Mount Vernon Art Bash at the Front Gallery, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, April 3-26, 11 am-5 pm.
