Mount Vernon Joins Skagit Valley Art Escape, Starting April 3

Mount Vernon joins Skagit Valley Art Escape. On the first weekend of each month from April-October, The Skagit Valley Art Escape invites out-of-area visitors to spend the weekend experiencing free art activities in the Skagit Valley communities of Anacortes, Edison, La Conner, and Mount Vernon. Visitors and locals alike will be delighted with gallery art walks, music performances, and artist demonstrations encompassing a broad range of media. Poster artist for the April 3, Art Walk in Mount Vernon is Tairyn Torres, winner of the 2012 “Engaging Imagination In Downtown Mount Vernon” photo competition hosted by the Art in the Alleys committee. Tairyn’s contemporary photographs will be featured on banners hanging in the alleys from 4 downtown buildings.
