PLANT CONTEST!

    CONTEST RULES
All pots must be assigned. Each pot will be numbered and a map with the location will be provided. Parks and Recreation will have the planters cleared out by May 15th (weather permitting)

Pots must be planted between May 19-27th before 10 AM, after 5 PM, or on weekends. The pots are provided, but plants, fertilizer, and soil (as need) is up to you. Be sure to bring some water with you as it is not available everywhere. Please clean up around your pot.

Planting directions: We are looking for bright COLORFUL pots with east to care for plants. Remember do not overfill your pot.

Parks and Recreation will water the pots Monday, Wednesday, and Friday AM (weather permitting). Any other care and watering is up to you. None of the participating agencies can guarantee the safety of your plants due to weather or vandalism.

Judging will be based on originality and uniqueness, use of color, mixture of textures, eye appeal, overall condition of the plants and planters. The Garden Club will be judging the pots the middle of June in order to give time for the flowers to bloom.

This contest is just for the spring/summer planting but any one or group who wants to continue maintenance or their pots would be welcome and appreciated.
