Name: PROPS AND PONIES MUSTANG SHOW FLIES TO SKAGIT FOR 2013!
Date: August 17, 2013
Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
The car show and fly day are set for Saturday, 17 August, doors open to the public from 10am to 4pm, admission is by donation. In addition to the 100 Ford Mustangs that will be on display, vintage aircraft from the Heritage Flight Museum will take to the skies – including their own P-51 Mustang ‘Val-Halla’, the Flying Heritage Collection’s ‘Upupa Epops’, and Historic Flight Foundation’s ‘Impatient Virgin. Of course, the attendance of the visiting P-51 Mustangs will depend on weather and maintenance issues, but if all are able to participate it will be a very rare site indeed – rarely outside of the biggest airshows are that many P-51’s to be found on flying display together. Vehicles and their owners are coming from as far away as Oregon, British Columbia and eastern Washington. In addition, event sponsors Frontier Ford of Anacortes and Saleen High Performance Mustangs will have new cars on display, the Children’s Museum of Skagit County and Home Depot of Burlington will provide kids’ activities, and a military vehicle encampment will be on display. Food and drinks will be available from StrEAT Food, Java Jo’s on the Go, and the Kitty Hawk Café. More information about the event is available at HeritageFlight.org. Tickets available throughhttp://propsponiesmustangs.eventbrite.com/.

Props, Ponies & Popping Corks, featuring local wines, beers and foods.
