Skagit Community Band Presents: "People, Place or Swing" A musical exploration of Special People, Places and Swing . Friday Oct. 24th La Conner Maple Hall 7:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 26th Anacortes - Brodniak Hall 3:00 p.m. The Skagit Community Band, under the direction of Vince Fejeran, opens the 2014-2015-concert season with the theme People, Place or Swing. Our musical selections will include Lincoln Portrait by Aaron Copland narration by Rich Riddell, La Procession Du Roci by Joaquin Turina, Shenandoah by Frank Ticheli and Rollo Takes a Walk by David Maslanka. The SCB is excited to invite WWU student Amy Feeney playing the 1st Movement of the Edward Gregson Tuba Concerto. Our swing selection will feature the SCB outstanding drummer Brad Spangler on a version of Louie Primas Sing, Sing, Sing. So plan on joining us as we celebrate People, Place or Swing Tickets are $15 adult, $10 seniors/students, $30 for family, children 12 years and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
