Event Description:
Our volunteers work along with the selected Partner Families to build decent, safe, affordable homes in Skagit County.  We will be accepting applications and selecting 3 Partner Families.  If you would like to apply or know of any families who would like to apply and want more information, they must attend our mandatory orientation.  All information will be giving at that time.  Below is an example of some requirements:

NEED: A family must be a resident of Skagit County for at least one year, live in inadequate or substandard housing or be paying more than 50% of their income towards their housing. Families must meet income guidelines.

ABILITY TO PAY:  Families must have a stable source of income which provides adequate ability to repay the loan payments.  Loan payments are based upon income level guidelines.

WILLINGNESS TO PARTNER:  The family must contribute a miniumm of 500 hours of "Sweat Equity" by helping to build their and other Habitat homes.  Other family members and friends may volunteer and contribute some of the required hours. Familes MUST also attend required classes, participate in fundraising events and be willing to participate in public relations activities.  Families must have a positive attitude and be willing to work with our volunteers.
