Our opening GALA Concert launches the 2016-17 season with an array of music with virtuoso sparkle, dramatic moods, and playful spirit. The delightfully talented Erika Block will team up with the orchestra in a performance of Weber’s brilliant Clarinet Concerto No. 1. With Weber’s dramatic overture to Der Freischutz, Khachaturian’s Masquerade Suite, and Grainger’s high-spirited pieces like Shepherd’s Hey, we’ll raise a bubbly toast to the new season.
