The Mount Vernon Downtown Association encourages you to support your friends and neighbors on Small Business Saturday, November 28, and throughout the holiday season by shopping for your loved ones at our independently-owned small businesses FIRST! Brick and mortar businesses support our local economy by providing local jobs and sales tax revenue, while contributing to the unique, friendly small town feel of our community. Small Business Saturday was designed to encourage people to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This single day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before.
