Skagit Valley College will host two community forums next week to find out what qualifications community members feel are important for the next SVC President. Information gathered at each forum will be used to create a Skagit Valley College Presidential Profile that will guide the SVC Presidential Search Advisory Committee in their evaluation process.
The SVC Presidential Profile Community Forums will be held on May 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gary Knutzen Cardinal Center Multipurpose Room on SVC’s Mount Vernon Campus; and May 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Oak Hall, Room 306, on SVC’s Whidbey Island Campus.
Skagit Valley College President Dr. Gary Tollefson recently announced his retirement slated for December 2011. The Skagit Valley College Board of Trustees hopes to select a new president by December 2011.
