The Skagit Volunteer Center, a service of Community Action of Skagit County, presents its first Volunteer Engagement Training on August 5th, 12th and 26th at the Burlington Public Library in Burlington, WA. The times and topics will include (on Wednesdays, for 2 half-day sessions and 1 full day session): - August 5: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Chapter I: Volunteer Program Planning; Chapter II: Volunteer Recruitment - August 12: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Chapter III: Orientation & Training Volunteers - August 26: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Chapter IV: Supervising, Evaluating & Recognizing Volunteers; Chapter V: Put It All Together: Finalizing Your Volunteer Engagement Handbook (Lunch 12:30-1:15, bring your own or purchase the provided lunch) This training builds on the Points of Light Foundation Hands on Network Volunteer Management curriculum, which is being presented for the first time in Skagit County. For helping us test and evaluate the training, we are offering this $200 registration value for just $99! Seating is limited. Registration closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 31st.
