Name: Volunteers Needed at Bike MS!
Date: September 8, 2012 - September 9, 2012
Event Description:

Bike MS Ride takes you on an unforgettable, two-day journey through Skagit, Whatcom and Island Counties on September 8 and 9, 2012. As many as 2,000 riders will cruise along scenic figure-eight courses ranging from 22 to 97 miles. Six full meals, generous amenities, stunning landscapes, stocked rest stops at multiple sites, and spirited festivities that include music and a beer garden are all included.

Riders raise money to support MS research, programs and services dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by MS.  More than 83 cents of each dollar raised at Bike MS funds programs, services and research aimed at making life better for the 12,000 people living with MS and the more than 72,000 family members, friends and health care professionals who care for them in Alaska, Montana and 23 counties in Western and Central Washington. The money generated from Bike MS events supports local programs and services and also helps to fund national research into new treatments and a cure. No other local MS organization provides the breadth and depth of services or involves more people in the movement to bring about a world free of MS.

Over 200 volunteers are needed to put on this event- everyone from route flaggers, registration, food service and finish line cheerers are needed!  If you are interested in helping out, please email Cara at cara.chamberlin@nmss.org or call her at 206.284.4254 ext 40205.  Please explore our website for more information as well: www.bikeMSnorthwest.org
